Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and feeling confident in your skin is a huge part of enjoying it to the fullest. At Pacific Plastic Surgery Group, we know that the key to looking and feeling your best is a combination of planning, timing, and personalized treatments. To help brides-to-be (and grooms!) navigate the pre-wedding beauty journey, we’ve put together a detailed timeline of treatments, along with insider advice from two of our own nurses who got married this year.

From skin rejuvenation to body contouring and injectables, this guide will help you plan ahead so you can step into your wedding day glowing, radiant, and confident.

Wedding Beauty Timeline & Recommended Treatments

9 Months Before the Wedding: Long-Term Planning

Initial Consultation

  • Book a consultation with our Cosmetic Consultant to discuss your goals, lifestyle, and timeline. This allows us to create a personalized plan that aligns treatments with your wedding date, skin type, and to ensure we are meeting your goals.

Why this timing matters: Early planning reduces stress, ensures treatments have time to work, and allows for follow-ups or adjustments.

6–9 Months Before the Wedding: Skin Texture and Radiance

Morpheus8 (Fractional RF Microneedling)

  • Firms and tightens skin on the face, neck, and décolletage.

A series of 3 treatments is recommended for optimum collagen production which increases over 3–4 months, meaning results are often noticeable right around your wedding day.

BBL (BroadBand Light)

  • Targets pigmentation, sun damage, redness, and rosacea, evening out your complexion.
  • Early treatments, as well as a series of treatments, allow any mild redness or recovery time to settle well before your wedding photos

Why this timing matters: This is the perfect window for starting skin rejuvenation, as treatments require several weeks to show full effects, and cumulative sessions amplify results.

3–6 Months Before the Wedding: Skin Tightening and Brightening

SkinPen with PRP (Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma)

  • Improves overall skin texture, reduces fine lines and scarring, and promotes natural collagen production.
  • Multiple sessions can create a radiant, smooth base for makeup.

Microlaser Peel

  • Gently resurfaces skin for a bright, smooth finish.
  • Helps improve skin tone, texture, and minor imperfections. Fantastic for anyone with acne scarring they are hoping to reduce.

EvolveX Body Contouring

  • Start early for gradual, natural-looking body shaping. EvolveX helps tighten and tone areas like the abdomen, arms, and thighs, which is ideal if your dress is fitted or strapless.

Why this timing matters: These treatments require a few months for full results to appear. Scheduling now ensures your skin looks refreshed without feeling “done.”

1–3 Months Before the Wedding: Fine-Tuning Your Look

Botox

  • Softens dynamic lines in the forehead, frown, and crow’s feet areas.
  • Starting three months before allows us to adjust as needed for your final look.

Dermal Fillers – consider lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, temples and more.

  • Enhance volume, sculpt facial features, and smooth wrinkles.
  • Swelling and minor bruising settle in a few weeks, making this the ideal window for final adjustments.

Why this timing matters: This stage is about refinement — enhancing natural beauty while ensuring everything settles before your wedding day.

1 Month Before the Wedding: Final Touches

Final Skincare and Minor Adjustments

  • Minor filler touch-ups, last BBL sessions, and skin hydration treatments.
  • Avoid any major procedures to ensure skin and facial features appear natural.

SkinPen with PRP (Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma)

  • A beautiful dewy glow appears 2 weeks after treatment, perfect timing for your big day!.

Why this timing matters: By now, treatments should be complete, allowing time for any minor recovery. This is your “polish and glow” stage.

Insider Tips From Our Nurses

We spoke with Taran and Charissa, two of our PPSG nurses who got married this year, to get their personal tips and experiences.

Q: What were your top treatments leading up to the wedding?

Taran: “I started Morpheus8 Body and EvolveX treatments for my upper arms about six months before the wedding. The combination was amazing for tightening, toning, and sculpting an area I’d always felt a bit self-conscious about. By the time my wedding photos were taken, everything had healed beautifully, and I felt completely confident wearing my short-sleeved dress. I also have had laser skin resurfacing to smooth out the texture from past acne scarring”.

Charissa: “BBL and a MicroLaser Peel were my go-to treatments leading up to the wedding; they really helped even out my complexion and made applying makeup so much easier. I also stick with regular Dysport, which I like to look subtle but it made a noticeable difference in smoothing out my lines. On top of that, I did a series of SkinPen microneedling treatments with PRP at three, two, and one months before the big day. Those sessions honestly transformed my skin, my texture improved and it had this beautiful, dewy glow that looked amazing in photos. And I added just a little lip filler for natural volume and hydration, enough to make my smile look fresh without feeling like it wasn’t me.”

Q: Any tips for planning treatments?

Taran: “Start early. Have a consultation to get advice on what treatments would work best for you, your concerns, and goals. I started on some great skincare products that have really helped improve my skin. Give yourself time for follow-ups and adjustments. Even small changes can make a big difference if timed correctly.”

Charissa:  “Don’t leave everything to the last minute, and try not to do it all at once. Focus on what’s most important to you and give yourself plenty of time to plan your treatments; it makes everything so much less stressful. And if you’ve never had Botox before, start about six to seven months before the wedding. That gives us time to see how you respond and make any little tweaks before the big day. Having your very first Botox treatment just a couple of months before isn’t the best idea!”

Q: Any wedding day advice?

Taran: “Hydrate, rest, and trust your beauty prep. Confidence is your best accessory; it shows more than any treatment ever could.”

Charissa: “Take moments to soak it all in. Don’t stress over minor imperfections. Enjoy the day; the memories are what last forever.”

Additional Tips for Brides and Grooms

  • Consistency is key: Stick to a regular skincare routine leading up to treatments for better results.
  • Test new products early: Avoid trying anything new in the final month before the wedding to prevent reactions.
  • Hydrate and rest: Skin looks best when you’re well-hydrated and rested.
  • Plan your treatments around travel and events: Factor in recovery time if you’re traveling or have pre-wedding events.
