After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree with Honours, I was accepted to the University of British Columbia, one of the top Plastic and Reconstructive training program in the country. As a clinician investigator, I completed an additional Master’s degree in wound healing and stem cell research with research and clinical experiences at UBC, John’s Hopkins and Harvard University. At the end of my training, I received the Dr. Garth Warnock award and was recognized as the most well-rounded senior surgical resident physician.

Dr. Forbes is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, with a subspeciality training in Plastic Surgery. She is also an active member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons and Canadian Medical Association and a member of the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
